The convention launched the candidacy of physician Jandira Feghali for the State Legislature and of metalworker Edmilson Valentim for the Constituent Assembly. It also made the decision to support PMDB if Senator Nelson Carneiro was nominated gubernatorial candidate for the State of Rio de Janeiro at the party convention.
