The theme of the Conference was “Policies for Women: a challenge for equality from a gender perspective”. The event took place in Brasília, between July 15th and 17th, and brought together about 2,000 women, representing another 120,000 from all states and various segments of society, involved in the processes of drafting guidelines for the foundation of the National  Plan for Policies for Women.
