December 2, National Samba Day, is celebrated in Rio de Janeiro with the departure of trains from the Central Station of Brazil (train station) towards Oswaldo Cruz, where several shows and samba circles take place in the streets of the neighborhood. Throughout the journey, animated samba circles are promoted inside the train cars.
