The Latin American and Caribbean Feminist Network against Domestic and Sexual Violence was established in 1990, during the V Feminist Meeting of Latin America and the Caribbean, held in San Bernardo, Argentina, and consolidated in August, 1992 at  Olinda, Brazil, with the participation of women's organizations from 21 Latin American countries
